All-star Clare hurler Brendan Bugler weds long-term love Jo Crowe

Clare hurler Brendan Bugler wed long-term love Jo Crowe in their native county.

The 30-year-old right-wing back exchanged vows on Saturday morning in front of family and friends.

Keeping with the GAA tradition of the day, former Clare hurling manager Fr Harry Bohan officiated the service at St Finnachta's Church in Sixmilebridge, before they continued the celebrations at at Loughrea Hotel in Galway.


Brendan, a teacher at St Flannan's College in Ennis, and Jo, a nurse at Limerick's Regional Hospital, have been dating for eight years since meeting while they were undergraduate students at the University of Limerick.

A host of GAA stars were in attendance on the day including Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald, former manager Tony Considine and Pa Donnellan, who was captain of the team when they took home the All Ireland in 2013.

The newlyweds have jetted off to sunny Dubai for two weeks for their honeymoon.
