The singer-and-actress got engaged to music executive Jas Prince last year, having started dating him in 2010. She hasn’t planned any details of her wedding yet and her fiancé is getting anxious.
“He’s bugging me every day like, ‘What are we going to do? What’s the date?’” Christina told People magazine. “And I’m like, ‘I don’t know! We’ll figure it out.’”
Even though Christina hasn’t finalised the date or a venue for her upcoming nuptials, she has been searching for ideas on wedding planning and social media sites. The singer-songwriter enjoys getting inspiration for her big day, but is astounded by how much work it will entail.
“All I’ve been doing is cutting pictures out and taking pictures off Pinterest, but it just takes so much time [to plan a wedding],” she added. “I’m still trying to figure out what I’m going to do, and on top of that I just don’t want to be stressed out.”
Despite being stressed, Christina hopes the reception will be a joyous affair for her closest family and friends. She already has a playlist of songs in mind.
“Our party’s going to be the fun part,” Christina said. “The cake has to be perfect, and so does the DJ. He’s got to play some salsa music and merengue, modern music, a little hip-hop. But then my guys’ from the countryside, so he listens to country, so I’m sure we’ll be doing some line dancing!”
Christina was previously married to musician The-Dream before the couple separated in 2009. They have a daughter called Violet together.
