As we can all officially testify to an almost comedic level today - you really don't know what kind of weather you're dressing for, which is why your spring wedding outfit needs to cover all the basis.
'When in doubt, print it out' seems to be the trend most high street and mid-level designers are keeping to for 2018 anyway, with plenty of floral pleated midi dresses doing the rounds at the likes of H&M, & Other Stories and Zara.
Now you either love these or you hate them. They're not, no matter what the magazines say, an easy dress to pull off.
The trick with them is to keep everything to an absolute minimum, that means strappy (but not too strappy heels - flats will make the dress too dowdy for a wedding), a subtle clutch and casual wavy hair is all that's needed for this look.
Elsewhere, adding a bit of cheery yellow is always going to boost spirits for spring, and there are quite a few zesty shades making their way into pre-summer waredrobes. Zara, Stories and Brown Thomas have some lovely options in elegant midi dresses, while some of the designers at Arnotts have a couple of cute short numbers.
For those with a bit more change in their pocket (!) Coast is always a good option for a chic wedding look, while you just can't go wrong with anything by Needle & Thread, which you can find online at asos, and Self Portrait, online at net-a-porter or in Brown Thomas in Ireland.
