Kate Middleton's two favourite designers collaborate on stunning wedding shoe collection

Kate's go-to occasionwear designer Jenny Packham has joined forces with the duchess's favourite shoe designer LK Bennett

Wedding and occasionwear designer Jenny Packham has certainly been busy cementing her status as one of biggest bridal designers of the year - and making friends with plenty of other heavy-hitters along the way.

In the past six months the British designer most noted for dressing the impeccable Kate Middleton for a variety of big events has collaborated with mega US design house Dessy on a dedicated line of bridesmaids dresses, launched a collection of fine jewellery with top jewellers Goldsmiths (including some rather breathtaking engagement rings) and has just released a range of wedding shoes and bridal clutches with none other than LK Bennett.

LK Bennett themselves of course are noted for being the designers behind those sledge round-toe nude pumps the Duchess of Cambridge is rarely seen without a pair of, so the collaboration has taken on quite the royal feel.

The collection, according to Packham, was inspired by the leading ladies of the golden age of cinema, and "fuses the mesmerising glamour of Old Hollywood icons Vivien Leigh and Bette Davis, with the vintage style of 1930’s Paris."

"The ‘Dahlia’ high sandal (pictured, main), with drop crystals is reminiscent of art deco jewels," said Packham about the collection, "whilst the ‘Felicity’ high sandal, with glittered star detail and the ‘Fern’ satin court, embellished with delicate jewels and pearls, offer an air of vintage for the fashion-forward bride."

Beyond the headlines, the collection is indeed a beauty, with something for every style of bride.

There's a touch of Pinterest fave Badgley Mischka in the collections summer floral ivory sandals which feature a sweet ivory tulle floral embellishment on the toe and a sexy ankle strap, while the cosmic Felicity with its starry details will no doubt go down a storm with more contemporary brides.

Beatrice has a hint of Manolo Blahnik to it with a glamorous rhinestone embellishment on the peep toe (we haven't seen a blue version yet though!) while Brielle looks to take inspiration from one of Jimmy Choo's popular bridal heels, namely 'Lang'.

For those with a penchant for a more refined - and arguably a little regal - heel, it doesn't get any more elegant than Fifi and Elena's luxurious Italian pearl trims.

The collection is stocked by LK Bennett in Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin. LK Bennett currently has seven of the thirteen styles available, and will be getting more styles in over the coming days. Shoes start from €235. Visit for more.
