In Pictures: The best bridal inspiration from the 2018 Oscars

Margot Robbie sparkled in Chanel, while Allison Williams looked breathtaking in Armani Prive

Another year, another bustle of bridal inspiration straight from the Oscars' red carpet.

This year some of the shiniest Hollywood stars went full wedding dress, with the likes of Jane the Virgin actress Gina Rodriguez in popular bridal designer Zuhair Murad, Camila Alves wearing a beautiful off-the-shoulder ballgown to join husband Matthew McConaughey, Walking Dead's Danai Gurira in the prettiest pale pink gown with low bustle back, and Mira Sorvino beaming in a floral embroidered gown with full train, all acting as inspiration for those on the lookout for the 'princess bride' style for their big day.

For those with a penchant for the sparkly side of the aisle, there was plenty of Jenny Packham-esque inspiration from Handmaid Elisabeth Moss in shimmering gold sequins, Wonder Woman Gal Gadot in sparkly Givenchy and Australian actress and rapper Abbey Cornish in a full embellished Elie Saab.

Power dressers weren't left without wither, with seriously chic styles from Jane Fonda, who owned the red carpet in a crisp pearl-embellished Balmain column gown, and Laura Dern in a wonderful one-shoulder number from Calvin Klein By Appointment, no less.

Our stand-outs for the night however had to be Margot Robbie of course, who looked nearly angelic in Chanel Haute Couture (according to reports Margot was forced to frantically search for a sewing kit while inside the venue when the off-the-shoulder beaded straps malfunctioned on the dress, but sure the photos were done by then so noone's the wiser) and Girls star Allison Williams, whose nude Armani Prive ballgown was the stuff of bridal dreams.
