Kicking off with industry stalwarts such as Berta, Marchesa and Gemy Maalouf, all eyes are on New York this weekend as Bridal Fashion Week gets into full swing.
Bridal Fashion Week - or Bridal Market as it's known to insiders - is the choice time for designers to reveal their highly anticipated collections for the coming year.
Marchesa and Mira Zwillinger are among some of the biggest names in bridal to have so far showcased their offerings for the spring/summer season of 2018.
One of the major talking points of Bridal Market so far has been Lebanese designer Reem Acra, who celebrated her 20 years of bridal design with a collection inspired by the iconic jewellers Tiffany & Co. One dress, which featured diamond drop earrings, dragonfly brooches and butterfly embellishments, included 165 carats of diamonds and 61.91 carats of gemstones and reportedly cost $US1.61m.
The bridal catwalks will be lit up all weekend with big white dresses from the likes of Watters, Sottero & Midgley and many more.
ReemAcra X Tiffany&Co. In love with this simple strapless white satin dress - nipped waist / full skirt. Look closely and you’ll see dozens of diamond drop earrings, dragonfly brooches, and giant butterflies that seem to float on the white satin; each piece of jewelry is for Tiffany & Co. Put together, the jewelry comes out to a whopping 165 carats of diamonds and 61.91 carats of gemstones. #bridalcollection #bridetobe #reemacra #tiffanyandco #collaboration #spring18 #bridalweek #iconic #jewelry #design #bigday #mayaeltal #dubaifashion #fashionnews #dubai
