The Vow

Former Dublin GAA star Eamon Fennell is a picture of happiness as he weds long-term love Fiona Creely

Former Dublin GAA star Eamon Fennell has married his long-term girlfriend Fiona Creely.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Clongowes College Church in Kildare on Wednesday before celebrating their nuptials with a luxry bash at the K Club.

The former footballer turned businessman was joined by a host of his Dublin GAA pals at the five-star resort.

The football heroes had plenty to celebrate this year after  winning the All-Ireland title – their third in five years – with victory over Kerry in September.

Fennell, who owns shoe company Sole Sister Flats, has been building his media profile in recent years with a variety of radio roles.

However, he told the Herald that the wedding has been taking up all of his time in  the weeks running up to the big day.

“It’s certainly been all go and there has been plenty to do so that has been my priority lately,” he said.

Eamon (31) popped the question to Fiona (29) in the middle of New York City on New Year's Eve in 2014.

"She said yes. Going to marry the love of my life #engagement #love #NewYork #TimesSquare," Eamon shared on Twitter at the time, alongside a photo of his fiancee and her huge engagement ring.

The athlete turned businessman has been dating Fiona since 2011.

Before meeting Fiona, he famously appearing on TV3 dating show Take Me Out.
