Gigi Hadid gives off cool city bride vibes at CFDA Awards in NYC

Model's silk sheath dress and matching trench gives us chic city bride goals

She could wear a bin bag and still look like a siren but when model Gigi Hadid stepped out in a chic silk ivory ensemble at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards in New York this weekend, she gave off some serious city bride goals.

The statuesque star, 22, looked effortlessly elegant in her ivory ensemble by Olsen twins' label The Row, going for big impact with clean lines and an overall 'maximalist' style.

She added some sparkle to her subtle yet statement-making outfit with glittery Stuart Weitzman slippers which created a cool 'city wedding' feel to her outfit.

Completing her look with an on-trend choker and her hair in loose waves, the American beauty managed to look comfortable yet chic in her fresh-feel sheath dress.

The IMG model's bronzed beauty look was also ideal inspiration for autumn brides; her pink shadow and long lashes creating a youthful, natural look and a hint of blush and nude lipstick adding to her healthy glow.

The Californian girlfriend of One Direction singer Zayne Malik, and older sister of 'Model of the Year' Bella Hadid, always manages to look effortlessly elegant in her down time, and is often snapped on the street in colour-blocking outfits that give off a stylish, laid-back off-duty look.

At the CFDA Awards this weekend, big winners included Belgian designer Raf Simons who won both Mens and Womenswear Designer of the Year for Calvin Klein, Stuart Vevers who took the Accessories Designer of the Year award home for his work at Coach.

The glitzy event was held at The Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom and was hosted by comedian and TV presenter Seth Meyers.

A political element was evident in this year's prize giving, with the CFDA also choosing to honour feminist activist and writer Gloria Steinem, Planned Parenthood's Cecile Richards, and actress Janelle Monae for their involvement in the Women's March on Washington earlier this year.

The trio were presented with the Board of Directors' Special Tribute by Diane von Furstenberg.
