In Pictures: Tom Daley weds Oscar-winner Dustin Lance Black

The Olympian and Oscar-winner share snaps of their nuptials on Instagram

British diving champ Tom Daley married his Oscar-winner boyfriend in an intimate ceremony in the luxurious Bovey Castle in Devon this weekend.

The couple tied the knot in front of fifty of their closest friends in a romantic, fairytale wedding where they are reported to have re-enacted 'the balcony scene' from Romeo & Juliet.

Tom (22) met Milk screenwriter Lance (42) in 2013 and credits the American for helping him cope with the death of his father, whom he lost to cancer two years before.

The diver received a show of support from fellow Olympians and celebs when he came out as gay in a candid YouTube video which he named "Something I want to say".

"It did take me by surprise," said the bronze-medal winner in the video which has since been viewed over 12M times, "something just clicked and felt right... and my whole world just changed there and then."

Dustin Lance Black (known as Lance) is an American screenwriter, director and LGBT activist. He won an Oscar in 2009 for his film Milk starring Sean Penn which was based on the life and times of first openly-gay American politician Harvey Milk.

The couple have a twenty year age gap, with Tom noting that "he's nearly the same age as my mom!"

"You can't help who you fall in love with" the world champion added.

Tom was right back to work after the nuptials, posting a video workout on his YouTube channel despite apparently being injured himself. Only a week before the big day Tom had shared an Instagram snap of him in a hospital bed with he captioned "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. #AthleteLife Back on board soon."

So... what did you do this weekend?
