The Frozen star wed the actor after six years of dating in a small ceremony at the Beverly Hills courthouse, which cost a total of $142.
In keeping with their non-traditional ceremony, Bell wore a black dress and tights, while the groom wore a black tuxedo as a handful of their family and friends looked on.
In a candid new interview with CBS, the Veronica Mars actress revealed: "We got married in a tiny room in the Beverly Hills courthouse. And it was still one of the best days of my life."
Bell gushed over her other half, praising him for beating his drug and alcohol addiction and moving on with his life in a healthy way.
"He's a wonderful father," she said. "He knows the value of things. He was an addict for many, many years and he pulled himself out of it, and he's been sober for 11, 12 years now.
"And he knows how many times he's messed up and how many times he's been really closing to losing everything."
The couple have two children Delta (16 months) and Lincoln (three).
