The pair chose to have a Catholic ceremony before retiring to the leafy Marlfield House in Co Wexford for their reception where they based their special day on classic style but with a vintage feel. Katie says: "We loved the beautiful house and gardens and we are both foodies so the excellent food in Marlfield House sealed the deal for us."
And being foodies, Katie and Eoin handmade their favours of little pots of jam. The pair also had helping hands leading up to the big day - Eoin's aunt created the bouquets, a friend baked the wedding cake, while a bridesmaid made the mass booklets. Not only that but this couple had friend, and talented musician, Colm Lynch play throughout the ceremony (leading the bride down the aisle to My Girl), and at the meal which created a wonderful atmosphere.
"The best part of the day for me was having our six-month-old baby boy with us and the three of us walking down the aisle together after the ceremony," says Katie.
After the wedding the pair travelled to Spain with their little boy for their honeymoon, and first family holiday together.
