Red Rock star Cathy Belton ties the knot in 'magical' wedding in France

Irish actress - in a stunning Peter O'Brien wedding gown - said 'I do' to long-term love Brian Roe

Irish actress Cathy Belton has tied the knot with her long-tern love Brian Roe.

The former Red Rock star and boyfriend of four years Brian exchanged vows in front of friends, family - and a few colleagues - in rural France over the weekend, with the Galway girl looking effortlessly beautiful in a stunning Peter O'Brien wedding dress.

Irish designer Peter congratulated the bride and groom, calling Cathy's floaty gown 'a rather generous metrage of pearl coloured silk mousseline'.

"The wedding was bliss," he said, "Olive and plane trees, the soundtrack of crickets, faded blue shutters, olives that taste like the sun and four days of being lazy with lovely people; it was perfect."

Fellow actress Simone Kirby took to Instagram to gush about her friend's big day; "...thinking about the wonderful weekend watching one of my dearest, most wonderful friends marry the man of her dreams," she captioned a photos of her and the bride.

"What a magical few days," Cathy replied.

Cathy and solicitor Brian have been dating for four years, after being introduced by 'matchmaking' friends.

"They did a very good job," Cathy told the Sunday Independent Living magazine in January. "He was totally unaware, I was asked would I meet this guy, and I remember the first time I saw him - the absolute clarity in his face, and going 'wow, who are you?' Then we met again at a friend's wedding and he asked me out on a date, and it was just right.

"He's a beautiful man. I knew it was right, weirdly enough. Maybe this is a thing about getting older - your radar is much more polished, you see through all the bullshit."

"I've never been happier. I can't imagine my life without Brian. He's a great man, an intelligent, beautiful man. And I think declaring our love in front of people is important to us both."
