Relationship goals: Celebrity couples looking loved up at last night's Golden Globes

We were a little shook by some of the celebrity break ups in 2017 (Ewen McGregor and Eve Mavrakis being our most surprising split of the year) but last night's Golden Globes saw some of Tinseltown's love-up couples giving us relationship goals all over again.

From long-term loves Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson and Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel to newly loved-up pairs Diane Krugar and Norman Reedus and Sam Rockwell and Leslie Bibb, there was plenty of romance on the red carpet - and the after party!

Here are the couples who gave us #relationshipgoals last night.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

Headlining couple goals with their constant support for each other are Jessica Biel and husband Justin Timberlake. Before the event, Justin wrote on Twitter: "Here we come!! And DAMN, my wife is hot! #TIMESUP #whywewearblack," supporting both his wife and the 'Me Too' campaign which saw Golden Globes attendees wearing black in support of those taking action against sexual harassment in the industry. Jessica, who was nominated for her role in Netflix drama The Sinner, gushed over her husband - with whom she shares one son - on the red carpet, saying his support of her career held their family together: "We're constantly reading each other's lines for auditions but honestly, this man held my family together," she said. "He held our family together. Without you, I would probably be divorced and sad and pitiful. I really do appreciate it is all I'm saying.""

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick

Celebrating 20 years of marriage this year, Kevin Bacon and wife Kyra Sedgwick proved the sparks were still flying after decades when they couldn't keep their hands off each other on the Golden Globes red carpet last night. Actress Kyra was their to support her husband who was up for best actor for his Amazon series I Love Dick.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

Rumoured to be renewing their vows this year, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban looked like newlyweds as they posed for pics on the red carpet together. Country singer Keith was there to support his wife of twelve years Nicole as she scooped the award for best actress in a limited tv series for her role in Big Little Lies. "When my cheek is against yours, everything melts away," Nicole said to Keith in her acceptance speech. "And that is love. With that—it’s true. I love you so much. God bless you. Thank you."

Sterling K. Brown and Ryan Michelle Bathe

This is Us actor Sterling K Brown won best actor for his part in the NBC series, and wife of over 10 years Ryan Michelle Bathe was on hand for support - delivering a big smooch for him as they celebrated at the official InStyle after-party. The couple have dated since high school and have two sons together - the younger of whom Sterling actually delivered himself when Ryan went into labour at home.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have one of Hollywood's most idolised marriages. Husband and wife for 28 years, Tom recently revealed that he thought he would have been intimated by Rita had they met in high school. "Too vivacious, too beautiful, too popular - everything - too upbeat, too positive," he said of her on 60 Minutes. Oscar winner Hanks was pictured during an ad break getting a tray of martinis for director Steven Spielberg and his better half, showing the two are just like us (if you maybe replace the martinis with pints, or tea).

Sam Rockwell and Leslie Bibb

This quiet couple have floated under the raider somewhat, but last night put on a show of support as they enjoyed the special night. Sam took home the gong for best supporting actor for the Frances McDormand-fronted flick Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and delivered his speech covered in red lipstick after a big smooch from long-term love Leslie. The couple have been dating for just over a decade, meeting by chance in the lobby of the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles in 2007. "He smiled at me, and I thought, 'Oh no, what's that?' Sometimes you just get struck," Leslie told Rosie O'Donnell in 2012. In his Golden Globes speech Sam thanked Leslie for making him laugh.

Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley

Married since 1993, Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley appear to look almost younger than when the appeared on the red carpet together three decades ago. The long term couple are a testament to a happy marriage being good for the mind and body.

Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington

Nominated for the best actor award, Denzel Washington was joined by his wife of 34 years Pauletta. The Roman J. Israel, Esq. actor revealed that it was three times a charm for the couple in their bid to become man and wife - after Pauletta turned down his marriage proposals twice before eventually saying yes. The pair have been rocking the red carpet for years, and looked at home together posing for pics at Sunday night's Golden Glove Awards.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness

Everybody loves Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness. The couple, who have two children together, often speak of their relationship, with Hugh crediting his wife at every chance for supporting him in his career. "She's the greatest thing that ever happened to me and it gets better and better," Hugh said on the Ellen deGeneres show last year. They have been married since 1996 and still look to be madly in love.  Hugh was up for best actor in a comedy/musical at the 2018 Golden Globes for his role in The Greatest Showman, but lost out to James Franco who took home the gong for his part in The Disaster Artist.

Gary Oldman and Gisele Schmidt

Diane and Norman went public with their romance 10 months ago. They became an item in 2015, after meeting on set for the movie Sky.

Alison Brie and Dave Franco

Babyfaced couple Alison Brie and Dave Franco might well have been the most stylish pair on the night, wearing chic black in solidarity with the Time's Up campaign. The cute couple got engaged in August 2015 after three years of dating, with Dave joking Alison was 'the only option' for a wife because she liked his cats. They tied the knot last March. Alison Brie was up for her role in female wrestling series GLOW.
