Sweet Valley High alumni Brittany Daniels officially tied the knot with partner Adam Touni in a romantic ceremony this weekend - with twin sis Cynthia Daniel Hauser as Maid of Honour.

"My heart is exploding!" the former teen icon said on a wedding snap she shared on Instagram. "Yesterday was the best day of my life when I married my best friend Adam Touni."

The couple exchanged vows in Downtown Los Angeles with the bride looking stunning in an off-the-shoulder Trish Peng gown.

The romantic pair also shared a 'first look photo', according to PEOPLE, where the bride took her groom by surprise seeing him before the ceremony.

“We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and affection shared by our friends and family on this special day,” the couple said in a statement. “We are so grateful to have this kind of support as we start this journey together.”

Broker and attorney Adam reportedly popped the question to the It's Always Sunny star on Christmas Day in San Francisco last year after the couple had enjoyed a hike to a spot overlooking the bay.

"My world just became brighter today," the actress said posting a selfie and showcasing her new sparkler.

Sister Cynthia, who played her goodie-two-shoes sis Liz in the Sweet Valley series, was by her side throughout the planning and on the day.

As Maid of Honour the now photographer got to spend quality time with her sister outside of their work lives.

The pair recently launched Californian-Inspired lifestyle blog The Sweet Life which will cover "everything from fashion and beauty to clean eating, fitness, personal growth and wellness to travel, home décor and parenting."

“I feel like our fans helped create this,” mother-of-three Cynthia told PEOPLE. “They’re always asking so many questions about our beauty regimen, workouts, etc. We just started communicating with them and I feel like it evolved organically from there.”

“We’re trying to promote beauty within,”
