British royal wedding: The schedule for the day and how you can watch it in Ireland

What time is the British royal wedding on Saturday and how can you watch it online?

We've well and truly hit fever pitch with talk of all things royal wedding this week.

And while questions such as who will walk Meghan Markle up the aisle still apparently up in the air, there are a few things that those with just the slightest bit of curiosity in seeing what the dress will be like - and who'll be attending on the day - can find out ahead of the big day.

What time is the royal wedding?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot in St George's Chapel on Saturday May 19th at 12pm. Guests are expected to being arriving from 9am and will congregate before taking their seats at 11am.


Members of the royal family will arrive at 11.20am.

Prince Harry is expected to arrive with his best man and brother Prince William at 11.45am, before the queen arrives at 11.55am. Meghan and her mother are expected to have arrived by car by 11.59am.

The couple will stage a post-wedding carriage ride around the streets of Windsor at 1pm for 30 minutes, which will no doubt be a highlight of the day for royal watchers.

The queen will host a lunch reception for guests from 3.30pm, and the evening reception at Frogmore House will begin at 7pm.

How can I watch the royal wedding?

The couple will have one single pool camera for the event which will provide the coverage for channels worldwide.

The wedding will be streamed by BBC, ITV, TV3, SKY and RTE.

Kirsty Young, Huw Edwards, Dermot O’Leary, Tina Daheley, Alex Jones, Ore Oduba and Anita Rani will provide rolling coverage on BBC One from 9am to 2pm.

Julie Etchingham and Phillip Schofield will present Harry and Meghan - The Royal Wedding from a live ITV studio at Windsor from 9.25am to 3pm. This coverage will air on a live stream by TV3 from 12pm to 3pm.

Maura Derrane , Evelyn O'Rourke and Darren Kennedy will provide coverage of the day from Windsor Castle for RTE. The coverage begins at 11.30am and will finish at 1.35pm.

Kay Burley and Anna Botting will present the day for SKY NEWS from The Long Walk and grounds of Windsor Castle.
