Revealed: The special wedding gift Prince Charles gave daughter-in-law Meghan Markle on her big day

The father of the bride or groom is often forgotten about when it comes to the big day, however when it comes to the weddings of the British royals, it seems they tend to take a bit more of a starring role in proceedings.

Indeed for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' big day back in May this year, it was the groom's father, Prince Charles, who was forced to step up to the mark and walk beaming bride Meghan up the aisle when her father Thomas was unable to attend the big day.

And it wasn't just aisle duties the Prince of Wales managed to excel at over the course of the wedding celebrations, he also did an excellent job when it came to choosing the perfect wedding gift for the bride-to-be.

Eagle-eyed royal watchers may have spotted the delicate diamond bracelet Meghan has worn on two separate occasions since that historic day in May, and now royal reporter Emily Andrews confirms that the so-called 'tennis bracelet' was in fact given to Meghan by her father-in-law as a wedding present.

The man has taste!

Meghan was first spotted with the pretty piece of jewellery the night before her wedding, when she checked into Cliveden House with her mother Doria.

She has since wore it to Prince Charles' 70th birthday party, and most recently on tour in Australia with her now-husband Harry.
