Lucy and James had a Catholic ceremony in Bellevue Church, Ballyhogue, Co Wexford, before continuing their day at nearby Wilton Castle. The pair wanted a relaxed day with a garden-party feel, and chose Wilton Castle so that they could have a unique venue where they could add their own personal touches.
The couple designed their own menu which included their favourite foods with Red Pepper Catering, and also had a four-tier cheese stack with a pork pie tower in lieu of a cake. Lucy and James made everything from the direction signs, centrepieces and table plan, to booklets, and a family tree of photos. Lucy's dad made the pork pie stand while her mother made cutlery pouches from hessian and lace. James crafted a special box for the rings to also hold the wooden engagement ring.
When she couldn't find her ideal dress in the shops, Lucy decided to have one custom made online, while her bridesmaids wore Grecian-style maxi-dresses in mink.
Lucy and James celebrated their honeymoon exploring Vietnam and Cambodia on a three-week adventure.
