Roxanne Palette's 'wedding dress' and more bridal-inspired BAFTA fashion

Emmerdale star stunned in sheer ivory ball gown

She mysteriously quit her role in musical The Wedding Singer recently, but ex-Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett looked like she was channeling the blushing bride in a wedding-inspired ball gown at the Virgin TV BAFTA awards last night.

The 33-year-old made sure all eyes were on her as she posed for the paps in a sheer bodice and dramatic tulle skirt at the rain-soaked Royal Festival Hall on Sunday.

The actress, who mysteriously quit her role as leading-lady Holly in the stage version of The Wedding Singer earlier this month, made quite the entrance in her bridal-inspired gown, which she paired with dramatic dark make-up and purple dye-dipped hair.

The backless gown featured a full-length train, which the stage star maneuvered perfectly while taking her time to look picture-perfect on the red carpet.

More wedding-inspiration from the night came from fellow former-soap star Anna Friel who wore a pretty, princess-style ballet length monochrome dress which she finished with a pair of strappy black heels and strong red lips.

Hollyoaks star Amanda Clapham's white sheath dress with a sheer, embellished bodice and puddle train was absolutely aisle-ready and bang on trend for 2017 weddings.

The blond accessorised with statement emerald-cut crystal earrings and kept her make-up simple with soft pink eyes and strong liner.

Other wedding inspiration from the night came from The Crown star Vanessa Kirby who wore a tiered pastel purple strapless dress featuring bell sleeves and this season's top trend: ruffles.

Winner of Best Female Performance in a Comedy Role Phoebe Wallar-Bridge, The Crown's Victoria Hamilton and presenter Holly Willoughby also added some inspiration for brides-to-be with their neutral-palette dress picks for the occasion.
