Tents and security guards with umbrellas... Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright marry but no glimpse of happy couple

Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan and TOWIE star Mark Wright got married today - but there was no glimpse of the married couple for the hundreds of disappointed onlookers inside.

Michelle arrived at the church in a car - with the windows covered in white draping.

A special tent leading to the doorway of the church had been erected, and security guards used umbrellas to prevent anyone outside the venue from getting a glimpse of the beautiful bride.

It's believed the couple have sold the rights to pictures of their wedding to glossy magazine 'Hello'.

However, the guests, many of whom feature in long-running soap Coronation Street and hit reality series TOWIE didn't disappoint.

The couple were married at a celebrity packed ceremony in Suffolk.

Brooke Vincent (Sophie in Coronation Street) and Antony Cotton (who plays Corrie's Sean Tully) were among the soap stars who attended the ceremony at St Mary's Church, in Bury St Edmunds.

Towie stars who joined the couple for their special day included on-off couple James Argent and Lydia Bright.

Bridesmaids were thought to include Wright's sisters Jessica and Natalya, Keegan's stepsister Nichola, her cousins Gemma, Katy and Lauren, and her best friend Becky Hatch.

Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley, who plays barmaid Eva and is currently on maternity leave from the soap, was unable to attend but sent the couple her best wishes in a tweet wishing them "an awesome day", adding: "Sorry we can't be there. So much love to you both."

Groom-to-be Wright hinted that he had not managed to get in an early night ahead of the wedding when he tweeted about his plans to watch a boxing match.

On Friday he tweeted: "Up late the night before a v big day for me. It's going to be worth it though. This Saturday @SkySportsBoxing come on the boy !! #champ."

Keegan was spotted making last-minute preparations in Manchester, where she showed off what looked like a fresh tan while shopping, and later joined Wright and her father for lunch.

The couple have been celebrating their upcoming nuptials in recent weeks with a string of hen and stag dos, which saw Keegan, 27, take a group of friends away to Dubai where her fiance proposed to her, while Wright, 28, and his pals hit Las Vegas for their party.

Keegan and Wright announced their engagement in September 2013, nine months after they started dating.

Keegan had previously been engaged to The Wanted singer Max George, while Wright had planned to marry his former Towie co-star Lauren Goodger.
