The Breakfast Show presenter has succumbed to pressure from his listeners to present his show... wearing a wedding dress.
We can't confirm if he'll wear something borrowed, something blue, something old or something new on the big day but it's rumoured that there a garter will be involved.
Ian will present the show in front of a live audience as part of Today FM's Dare to Care campaign in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
Ian's Big Day will take place in Dublin city centre on Wednesday, September 20 and he's inviting the men and women of Ireland to join him and don a wedding dress on the day.
The special event will take place at No.25 Fitzwilliam Place in Dublin.
The station is encouraging listeners to pull out their own dresses or borrow one from a friend of family member for the big day and help raise €50,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
Last year, Ian got a tattoo live on air as part of the fundraising campaign after reaching his target of €25,000.
Speaking about the campaign, Róisín Reilly, Head of Marketing, Today FM said: “Today FM has always had a special relationship with the Irish Cancer Society. Cancer is something that unfortunately has touched all of our lives at some point. Dare to Care couldn’t happen without our listeners, every year they go above and beyond to get involved with the campaign. They set up events, they raise funds, they donate money, and they challenge our presenters.”
Since 2010, Today FM’s Shave or Dye campaign has raised over €8 million for the Irish Cancer Society with the help of its listeners.
