Ronan and Colleen Waldron tied the knot in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo on Saturday.
And instead of arriving in a limo, the groom decided to pay tribute to his farming roots by arriving to the church in the bucket of a JCB.
"He was born and rared in JCBs," Colleen told Independent.ie, "the family business is plant hire and groundworks so it's a celebration of that."
The couple have been together for nine and a half years but the bride had no idea he was going to make such a creative entrance.
"I had no idea. I knew they were going to make some sort of an entrance but I wasn't expecting that," explained Colleen.
"His dad drove the JCB, he was really nervous but the wedding guests thought it was absolutely brilliant."
The groom and groomsmen put safety first as they harnessed themselves in for the big arrival.
